New Distributor Set up in Venezuela December 9th, 2011 – Industrial Products After successfully finding new stocking distributors in both Chile and Columbia, the President of the Canadian filtration company who contracted CEC is pleased to announce that another stocking distributor was set up in Venezuela. He is now looking to duplicate the engagement with CEC in several markets around the world. These projects represent $150,000 in revenue in 3 months and new activity in markets previously untouched.
Anti-aging product sold out in Korea November 30th, 2011 – Skin Care CEC has been working with an Ontario skin care manufacturer to help get their products approved in Korea while also engaging a major Korean distributor. Both the distributor and the Canadian manufacturer are delighted to report that the approvals are complete and the opening order of 1200 units sold out within 48 hours of launching. A significantly larger order and annual production plan are now being negotiated.
Industrial Paint to China November 22nd, 2011 – Commercial and Industrial A major Canadian producer of high quality paint products for commercial application engaged CEC to help them handle their enquiries from China. After unsuccessfully trying to handle the transactions themselves for several years they were very pleased that within 60 days they had sales exceeding $200,000 with additional purchase orders being negotiated.
New Distributor Set up in Columbia November 7th, 2011 – Industrial Products CEC was contracted by an Ontario manufacturer to identify potential stocking distributors. After interviewing over 80 managers introducing the Canadian designed and built filtration device, CEC identified 9 strong candidates.Within 2 days of landing in Santiago, the President had a signed contract and a $50,000 deposit with their opening order.
Wood mill in Western Canada reopened November 1st, 2011 – Natural Resources Canada Export Centre just completed a $1.5 mln financing of a wood mill which is scheduled to begin producing by November of 2011.
Expected volumes of high quality SPF to be 8,000m3 per month by February, 2012.
New Distributor Found in Chile October 2, 2011 – Natural Resources Canada Export Centre just completed a research project to open up the Chilean market for an Ontario based mining equipment supplier. The study concluded with a visit to the market by the Canadian manufacturer, a signed distribution agreement and an opening order of $50,000. CEC has now been engaged to identify and facilitate sales channels in Columbia and Venzuela.
Investor Identification in Brazil September 19, 2011 – Agriculture Canada Export Centre signed a contract with the Ghana government to identify and help market investment opportunities to Brazilian companies in the agriculture sector. The project is expected to culminate in a trade delegation visiting Brazil and an investor junket to Ghana to look at specific agriculture opportunities, ultimately resulting in a significant investment in the region.
Joint Venture development in USA
August 6, 2011 – Finance Canada Export Centre has engaged Korean LED light manufacturer to help set up a joint venture manufacturing facility in North America. North American demand for the product has outstripped the Korean company's ability to supply. The JV investment will total just under $10 mln.
Wood Mill in Canada to Supply Chinese ClientsJuly 25, 2011 – Lumber Canada Export Centre is pleased to announce the incorporation of the newly formed Canadian National Timber (CNT) with 3 other strategic partners. CNT's milling operations are in Williams Lake, British Columbia cutting pine cants. Production is expected to reach 10,000 m3 per month by end of the year.
CEC Rare Earth Makes First Inventory Purchase
June 29, 2011 - Mining Newly formed CEC Rare Earth, part of the Canada Export Centre group of companies is now stocking refined rare earths. The initial stocking order was made today for Dysprosium Oxide. This is the first of a series of purchases being made over the coming months. The company intends to make the product accessible to supply partners on a long term basis.
Partners in Building Wine Culture in ChinaJune 5, 2011 – Food and Beverage Canada Export Centre agrees to partner with one of the largest wine juice producers in North America to build a series of very high end wine bars. The first facilities grand opening in slated for June 16th, 2011. Over the next 24 months 19 more facilities will be built in strategic locals in China's major cities.
Icewine Distribution to Luxury HotelsMay 17, 2011 – Food and Beverage Large luxury products distributor in China placed opening order for 4000 bottles of Canadian Ice wine at an average of $30 per bottle. Expected volume for the year is to exceed 15,000 bottles. Cleaning Water for Oil CompaniesMay 16, 2011 – Commercial Products Canada Export Centre is working with a major Mexican oil company to source 20 water desalination units for use in vessels and oil platforms. CEC identified a very strong Canadian firm who has now been established as an approved supplier. Purchase order expected by June 15th, 2011. Harnessing Methane GasApril 26, 2011 – Commercial Products For the past year CEC has been working with several levels of government and industry in Mexico, to capture and utilize the potential energy encased in organic waste. CEC has successfully presented bid documents to 2 companies for bio-digestors. The feasibility studies are set to begin early July. Canada Export Centre Establishes New Rare Earth Company
April 15, 2011 – Natural Resources Canada Export Centre and sister Finance company, Canadian Horizon Capital Corp. recently established CEC Rare Earth Corp. Two of the major shareholders and close advisers currently produce 26% of the world supply of refined rare earths and have over 25 years experience designing, building and operating 20 refineries in China. Magnesium Refineries in MENA RegionMarch 22, 2011 – Natural Resources Canada Export Centre has just received verbal approval for a bid to build 2 new magnesium refineries in the MENA region. In December 2010 site visits of some refineries resulted in the development of design build contracts totaling $63 million dollars. Formal signing of agreements are expected during site visits planned for end of May, 2011. Canada Export Centre is working with the world's largest refiner's engineering group to fulfill the contract.
Indoor Ski Hill Construction Project in TianjinFebruary 2, 2011 - Construction Canada Export Centre is now under contract with a large Chinese contractor who is building an indoor ski hill in Tianjin. Canada Export Centre's task is to identify and conduct due diligence on various Canadian and European suppliers. To date, Canada Export Centre has interviewed 40 companies ranging from refrigeration manufactures to snow making companies and ski manufacturers. The group of companies have been narrowed to approximately 10 suitable suppliers and the bid process is underway. Total value of project $100 million.
Distributor Agreement with RV Manufacturer
January 18, 2011 – Auto Industry North America's largest Class B RV manufacturer signs contract with Canada Export Centre to distribute Luxury RV's in China. The agreement over the first 5 years is expected to exceed US$ 50,000,000 in purchases from the Ontario manufacturer. |
